Mandate & recovery planning
Confirm authority, objectives, asset information, stakeholders, location, timing, constraints and escalation routes before action.
07 / Asset Recovery & Secure Storage
Coordinated recovery, controlled transport and accountable custody for vehicles, equipment and other assets—supported by documented authority, condition records and clear release instructions.
Recovery is only complete when the asset is lawfully secured, its condition is recorded and every handover is accountable.
PRAEVIGIL coordinates recovery and secure storage where a client has a documented right or instruction to take custody of an asset. The service can support vehicles, machinery, equipment, inventory and other movable assets across South Africa.
Each mandate is planned around the asset, location, parties involved, safety conditions and the intended custody outcome. Recovery, transport, intake, storage access and release are treated as connected stages rather than isolated transactions.
Lawful authority is essential: PRAEVIGIL does not undertake self-help, forced repossession or action without a defensible mandate. Legal process, owner consent, court authority and appropriately authorised specialists are confirmed or coordinated where the circumstances require them.
Recovery & custody capability
The scope is configured around the asset, lawful authority, operational risk, storage requirement and evidential sensitivity.

Record time, source, identifiers, visible condition, received accessories, seals and exceptions at the point of custody.
